Texas State Parks Centennial Project: Mother Neff State Park *Slated for 2023 Touring museum exhibitions "It was an honor to be chosen to paint the first state park in Texas. This little park is so well loved. Singing birds, humming bees, and the muffled voices of people enjoying being outdoors accompanied my painting sessions. I was always amazed at the full campground, the day use hikers from college kids, retirees, families from nearby Fort Hood, and the community. With the constantly changing color progression of wildflowers, grasses, cedars, and sumac, it was hard to choose which painting to include in the exhibit. Ultimately, I feel that this painting, “Springtime! - Mother Neff SP Prairie Restoration”, captures the feeling of the prairie restoration area, the light, the color, and the movement in the landscape." - TW
